Chowchilla District Cemetery is an Endowment Care Cemetery
Endowment Care is the amount contributed to an endowmenrt care fund.
Income from the endowment care fund is used to provide continuous care and maintence at the cemetery. This includes even when no burial sites available.
Regular care and maintence actives can include: mowing grass, regrading of graves, planting and caring for trees and bushes, maintenance of water supply systems, drainage and roads. etc.
The minimum dollar amount to be contributed to the endowment care fund is governed by law.
